Can I take an opened pack of cigarettes with me?
Hello Rolf, the import of tobacco of any kind is prohibited. In theory, this also applies to a single cigarette. I cannot say how high the probability is of being checked at customs. Unfortunately, I cannot say to what extent a confiscation or penalty will be imposed if an opened packet of cigarettes is found. In general, I believe that the laws and rules of other countries should be respected. We expect the same from visitors in Germany. In any case, we wish you lots of fun and relaxation in Sri Lanka.
